PC's have gotten more powerful and home consoles are showing us things that weren't even possible in the games CG cinamatics in the '90s. There are more develpoers making games now which gives us all more choices, and choices are good.

This game is great. It was even great at $60 when it came out. Articles like this keep games like Mirrors Edge in the minds of gamers. The more love we can show games we like the better our chances are for sequels. I still play the time trials and find them exciting, even almost 2 years out.

Gears of War one to Gears of war 2. Same engine, and look. Same controls, and nothing new except the ability to hold a "Meat Shield". Same lead character and enemies.
Halo 2 to Halo 3. Not much different in looks, and mechanics. Same lead character and same enemies.

Jesus dosen't anyone pay attention!? This is not Rapture. It is not even tied into the first game in a way thay are talking about yet, if at all. It is just the branding of Bioshock they want to be reconized for. Kind of like a Tom Clancy game. There is Rainbow Six, H.A.W.X., Splinter Cell. Yeah it kind of looks like borderlands, but better. Coming from id, you can bet it will be a solid shooter. I for one like to just kill shit once in a while and not worry about things like RPG elements, or character development. If your going to play a shooter, then it might as well be one from id.
